SUMMARY: The Civil Forfeiture Grant Program in British Columbia re-invests proceeds from the seizure of crime-related assets into community safety initiatives. It funds one-time, community-led projects in areas like crime prevention, Indigenous healing, restorative justice, and gender-based violence.
Applicants in the Crime Prevention, Gender-based Violence, Indigenous Healing and Restorative Justice streams may request up to 100% of total project costs, up to a maximum of $40,000 per project, per stream.
DEADLINE: This year’s call for applications is open from November 17 to December 15, 2025.
ELIGIBILITY: Eligible organizations must be based in B.C. and can include local governments; registered non-profits and charities in good standing; schools and school districts; health authorities; academic institutions; police departments; and Indigenous governments, tribal councils, band councils, or related organizations.
